•    Ensure that it is a natural woven fabric and not synthetic fibre.  Cotton, suede…works well.
•    Remember that paint will change the feel and texture of fabric.
•    To do stencil work on fabric follow the steps for stencil work.
•    Do not clean the fabric with Lacquer Thinners.
•    Once stencil work is complete, allow for paint to dry and then iron on the back of the design.
•    Should you need to wash the stencilled item, make use of a cold water hand wash.
To paint onto upholstered surfaces
•    Ensure that it is a natural woven fabric and not synthetic fibre.
Cotton, suede…works well.
•    Spray the surface with water.
•    Apply an even coat of paint.
•    Allow to dry and then apply a second or third coat.
•    Wait for paint to dry in between coats.
•    The amount of coats required depends on the absorbency of the fabric being painted.
•    No sealant is required.
